With affiliated Professional Engineers, the Company provides a level of expertise and practical experience unusual for an Engineering firm. Combining the experience of our multi-disciplined engineering backgrounds and field project experience with a common sense approach to engineering and design.

We advocate at all times a clear line of communication at all levels of Management, Engineering and Administration.

Commencing with the project HAZOP study, the team reviews all aspects of project scope, design codes and standards, as well designing for maintenance and operations safety.

We strongly support the client’s involvement at project commencement, as well as the client’s continued involvement throughout the project’s execution.

Project Management of Engineering Process

At the heart of any success story is a regimented approuch to the structure of systems and the management of change.

To this end the company places great importance on keeping abreast with international standards and has ensured that the companies project management of design process's is aligned with the Project Management Institutes (PMI), Project Management Base of Knowledge (PMBoK 4th edition).

The various process Knowledge area's have been embraced by company management who in turn have ensured that the companies systems are supplemented with learning tools, ensuring that the relevant knowledge area's are translated into " Self Help" documentation, which allows for employee at all levels, to access and learn,in an environment conducive to each individuals learning requirement.

Engineering Standards & Control

The Engineering package will adhere at all times, to relevant Australian or International standards, as well as respective Occupational Health and Safety requirements.

A typical selection of standards on a per-discipline basis is referenced under Appendix 12.1. This listing would be extended as deemed necessary, subject to specific project requirements.

It remains a priority for Contromation to ensure “value” engineering, whereby every opportunity is explored, in order that all possible cost savings at design are achieved, without impact to health, safety, environment and community.

In order that outsource Engineering remains an efficient cost saving tool, it is strongly urged of the client to ensure that an effective documentation management system is maintained. In addition to the above, it is expected that the client will nominate a contract coordinator or administrator, through which all documentation and engineering queries or deliverables will be processed.

Engineering Certification

The Client has the option of being responsible for certification of all Engineering, this covered under separate Peer Review, as may be deemed necessary by corporate regulation.

On this basis it would be the Company’s responsibility to provide all specific calculations associated with the design, in line with the developed 3D model, to ensure that this process is executed in an efficient and timely manner.

Alternatively the Client has the option of ensuring certification remains the responsibility of Contromation, noting that the company does carry professional indemnity insurance.
